Starting from January 3, 2024, the sacred services of the Shiva temple will find a new home in Jebel Ali, marking a historic shift in its long-standing presence in Bur Dubai. The temple has been a cornerstone of worship for the Hindu community in the UAE since its establishment in the late 1950s.

A series of notices strategically placed at all entrances of the Bur Dubai temple formally announced the impending move, with the message: "This is to inform all our devotees that with effect from Wednesday, January 3, 2024, this temple will be shifted to our new Hindu Temple, Jebel Ali." The announcement has stirred a mix of sentiments among the devotees, who have regarded the Bur Dubai temple as a spiritual haven for decades.

As the news of the relocation surfaced, the temple authorities assured that they are in constant communication with relevant authorities and pledged to provide further details as soon as they become available. Punit Mehta, a devotee who has been visiting the temple since childhood, expressed a sense of nostalgia and remarked on the significance of the Bur Dubai temple in his life over the past two decades.

Narendre, another devoted worshipper and resident of Al Qusais, conveyed a touch of sadness upon reading the notification. He reminisced about the connections formed with fellow worshippers, flower vendors, and sellers of idols, emphasizing the integral role they played in his life during visits to the Bur Dubai temple.
