The UAE is bracing for another rainy afternoon today, with some areas expected to experience showers continuing into Sunday, according to the UAE's Meteorological Department.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted drizzle in parts of the eastern and southern Emirates. On Friday afternoon, rain was accompanied by ice pellets in some regions, raising the question of whether thick clouds could bring hailstones again today. However, for the most part, residents across the country can expect clear to partly cloudy skies.

Wind speeds will range from light to moderate, blowing at 15 to 30 km/h, but could increase to 40 km/h, creating dusty conditions in some areas. Temperatures are expected to peak at 47 degrees Celsius in parts of Abu Dhabi, while Dubai may see highs of 42 degrees Celsius.

The seas will remain calm, with light waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
