Rain showers graced parts of the UAE on Saturday morning, signaling the arrival of anticipated downpours expected to continue into the upcoming week.

The National Centre of Meteorology reported light rain in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Al Ain early on Saturday morning. This weather pattern prompted Abu Dhabi Police to caution motorists about the unsettled conditions and advised them to follow variable speed limits indicated on road signs.

The recent weather activity follows a red weather alert issued due to heavy fog in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain on Friday morning. As per meteorological forecasts, rain is forecasted for Saturday and Sunday across various regions, with cloud formations primarily expected in western and coastal areas on Saturday.

Temperatures are set to soar in Abu Dhabi, with Saturday's highs reaching 26°C according to the Windy app. Meanwhile, Dubai is expected to experience slightly warmer conditions, with temperatures reaching up to 28°C.

Looking ahead, Sunday is anticipated to bring showers, with Dubai reaching a peak temperature of 31°C around midday. Abu Dhabi is expected to see a warm afternoon, with temperatures hitting 30°C.

The rainy spell is predicted to persist into the following week, with more consistent showers projected for Monday and Tuesday. However, temperatures are forecasted to rise in Abu Dhabi, reaching 32°C on Monday, while a similar peak temperature is expected in Dubai during Monday afternoon.

Tuesday is slated for continued rain in both emirates throughout the day, accompanied by lower temperatures compared to earlier in the week, with peaks of 24°C in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Earlier this month, stormy weather disrupted normalcy in the UAE, particularly in Dubai, leading to flight cancellations and cautionary advisories for the public to minimize outdoor activities due to hazardous road conditions.
