Dubai, UAE

 – Residents across the UAE woke up to a surprising change in weather today. While most experienced overcast skies, some in Al Ain were greeted by light rain – a rare occurrence during the summer months.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast cloudy conditions to persist throughout the day, bringing much-needed relief from the intense summer heat. As a result, temperatures are expected to drop compared to previous days, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi reaching a maximum of 44 degrees Celsius.

While the cooler weather is a welcome change, residents should remain cautious as the NCM has also issued a warning about potential dust and sandstorms. Winds are predicted to be light to moderate but may intensify, reaching speeds of up to 40kmph.

Sea conditions will be relatively calm, with light waves in the Arabian Gulf and light to medium waves in the Sea of Oman.
