Upon completing his six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS), UAE astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi wasted no time in expressing his readiness for the next mission, conveying this determination to a top official. AlNeyadi is presently undergoing medical observation in the United States following his 17-hour journey back to Earth.

Salem AlMarri, Director-General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), personally met with AlNeyadi and reported that the astronaut is in excellent health. AlMarri praised AlNeyadi's prompt readiness for another mission, stating that it embodies the spirit of the UAE Astronaut Programme.

"I am very excited for what's next. Stay tuned," AlMarri shared on the microblogging platform X.

AlNeyadi himself posted his first message after his return to Earth, expressing gratitude for the support he received during his mission and assuring everyone of his good health. He also conveyed his eagerness to reunite with his friends and well-wishers.

Sultan AlNeyadi, who completed the longest Arab space mission, touched down off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida, at 8.17 am (UAE time) on September 4. He was warmly received by Hazzaa AlMansoori, the first UAE astronaut, along with Dr. Hanan Al Suwaidi, Flight Surgeon for Al Neyadi, and Saeed AlEmadi from the Strategic Communication Department at MBRSC, on the recovery ship. A specialized medical team conducted initial health assessments on-site before AlNeyadi proceeded to a health camp for further tests.

The 42-year-old astronaut is expected to return to the UAE in a couple of weeks, marking the successful completion of a historic mission.
