Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, has given his nod to the innovative designs of two new football stadiums, set to bolster the infrastructure for Shabab Al Ahli and Al Wasl football clubs.

The stadiums, to be situated in the Al Rawayyah 3 and Al Jaddaf areas, will each accommodate up to 20,000 spectators, providing a modern and sustainable venue for sporting events.

The visionary design of the Shabab Al Ahli stadium showcases a striking circular roof supported by elegant columns, symbolizing the moon, and will be complemented by lush green spaces and pedestrian walkways.

Similarly, the Al Wasl stadium embraces sustainability, surrounded by expansive green areas and additional sports fields, aligning with Dubai's smart city initiatives.

This ambitious project aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, spearheaded by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, aimed at positioning the emirate as a leading hub for regional and global sports.

Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed, chairman of Dubai Sports Council, emphasized the significance of the project in elevating Dubai's sporting sector, supporting club development strategies, and nurturing local talent.

While specific timelines and costs for the project remain undisclosed, Mattar Al Tayer, commissioner general of Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Well-being Pillar, affirmed that a specialized firm would be entrusted with the construction.

Dubai's sports sector, contributing Dh4 billion ($1.08 billion) annually to the economy, continues to thrive, attracting national and international events while boasting advanced sports infrastructure and a burgeoning network of sports academies and fitness centers.
