RTA Partners with Global Innovators for Futuristic Transport Systems in Dubai
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has entered into two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) during the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) to explore cutting-edge transportation systems.
The first MoU explores the development of the Floc Duo Rail system, featuring a double-track design for swift and efficient urban transportation. The second MoU focuses on the potential development of a rail bus system, utilizing solar panels on a bridge to generate electricity for operation.
Urban-Mass Company (UK) and RAIL BUS Inc. (US), specializing in transportation systems and zero-emission mass transportation solutions, are the collaborating companies. Abdul Mohsen Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency, RTA, signed the MoUs alongside Ricky Sandhu, Founder and CEO of Urban Mass, and Dr. Hatem Al-Taher Ibrahim, Director of Business Development for Rail Bus Inc.
Abdul Mohsen Kalbat emphasized that these agreements align with RTA's strategic plans to adopt advanced transportation practices, showcasing innovations like the Floc Duo Rail for efficient and driverless urban transit. The solar-powered rail bus system from Urban Mass aims to lower costs while harnessing solar energy for sustainable operation in Dubai.
Ricky Sandhu expressed his company's commitment to introducing the Floc Duo Rail system in Dubai, highlighting its environmental benefits and efficiency. The partnership signifies a joint commitment between the UK and the UAE to combat climate change.
Hatim Ibrahim, CEO of Rail Bus Inc., sees this collaboration as a milestone in providing sustainable transportation solutions for Dubai, aligning with RTA's dedication to urban transport innovation.
