The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is once again stepping up to improve the city’s public transportation network. Starting August 30th, RTA will introduce four new metro link bus routes and implement service enhancements across several existing routes. These changes are designed to offer commuters smoother, more efficient travel options, making daily journeys across the Emirate even more convenient.

New Bus Routes to Enhance Connectivity

As part of the upcoming changes, two new bus routes, F39 and F40, will replace the existing Route 31. The F39 route will connect Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1, while F40 will link Etisalat Bus Station with Mirdif, Street 78. Both routes will operate with a frequency of 30 minutes, ensuring regular and reliable service for passengers.

In addition, Routes F56 will be replaced by F58 and F59. The new F58 route will run from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City, while F59 will serve the Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village. Like the other new routes, both F58 and F59 will operate with a 30-minute frequency.

Simplified Route Identification and Expanded Coverage

To make it easier for passengers to navigate the city, Route 21 will be split into two new routes: 21A and 21B. These routes will run in opposite directions between Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 and Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, providing improved coverage and more straightforward route identification.

Furthermore, RTA has announced the merging of Route 61D with Route 66 and the combination of Route 95 with Route 95A. These changes are aimed at enhancing connectivity to Route X92, streamlining travel options, and reducing passenger confusion.

Additional Service Enhancements

The RTA is also shortening Route 6 and modifying Route 95A to cover the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. In addition to these route changes, 35 existing routes will be enhanced to ensure timely arrivals and better service reliability. These updates reflect RTA’s commitment to continuously improving public transport services in Dubai, ensuring passengers have access to the most convenient and efficient travel options.

Plan Your Journey Ahead

With these significant changes set to take effect from August 30th, passengers are encouraged to review the new routes and service enhancements to plan their journeys accordingly. Whether you’re a daily commuter or an occasional traveler, these improvements are designed to make your experience with Dubai’s public transport network smoother and more efficient.

As Dubai continues to grow and evolve, RTA’s proactive approach ensures that the city’s public transportation system remains at the forefront of efficiency and innovation. Keep an eye out for these new routes and enhancements, and enjoy a more connected and convenient journey across Dubai.
