Look Inside Sharjah's Most Beautiful Garden Built by a UAE Royal
Nestled in Sharjah, an oasis crafted by an Emirati royal stands as a testament to the blend of nature, art, and sustainability. This sanctuary, adorned with a fully functional zipline, adventure zones, ponds, waterfalls, and lush greenery, goes beyond the ordinary garden.
The garden, a haven for adventure enthusiasts, features a climbing net, a giant swing, a slide, and even a tunnel. It's no wonder it was recently named the Most Beautiful Home Garden in Sharjah by the Sharjah Municipality, a title it has now earned twice.
"I see in the garden my greatest masterpiece," says Sheikh Ali Al Mualla, the visionary artist and member of the Umm Al Quwain royal family behind this enchanting creation. Contrary to popular belief, Al Mualla reveals that his garden is a marvel of sustainability. "Many think I have invested heavily in my garden, but everything here is made from discarded or unwanted trees from various sources, reclaimed building materials, and tools I reshaped and manufactured myself."
A passionate artist and craftsman, Al Mualla channeled his creativity into his garden when he began building his home. Every corner of the garden reflects his meticulous attention to detail and artistic vision, with each element sculpted and installed by his own hands.
Around the garden, there are about a dozen unique seats, each crafted from recycled tree trunks, remnants of trees, and construction waste, giving them distinctive character. A raised cabin with a panoramic view adds to the garden’s allure. This cabin, capable of accommodating around 20 people, is built with one side leaning against a 14-tonne boulder and the other resting on a large tree trunk. Here, visitors can sit comfortably, sip coffee, and immerse themselves in the serene surroundings.
Al Mualla's garden is more than just a beautiful landscape; it's a gateway to another world where reality fades into the enchantment of nature. "My garden is like a multicultural village using reclaimed wood. The concept of my entire garden is sustainability," he explains. His creativity and vision transform discarded materials into stunning features, showcasing his belief that where others see waste, he sees potential. "Whenever I encounter discarded trees or construction remnants, I seize the opportunity to breathe new life into them," he adds.
This remarkable garden, a masterpiece of sustainable art and nature, stands as a symbol of innovation, beauty, and the power of creativity.
