Emirates Young Scientist Competition Winners Honoured
Dubai: The winners of the Emirates Young Scientist Competition were celebrated at the 7th National Science, Technology, and Innovation Festival's closing ceremony.
Saif Hassan Ibrahim Muhammad Karam from the Secondary Model School for Boys in Sharjah clinched the top spot, with Mira Osama Al-Kahhala from Dubai National School – Al Barsha securing second place.
The event, attended by dignitaries including Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, UAE Minister of Education, recognized and commended the participating students and winners across various categories of the festival's scientific competitions.
Dr. Al Falasi emphasized the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial thinking among students, enabling them to translate innovative projects into practical applications across scientific domains.
Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, highlighted the UAE's commitment to showcasing student talents and fostering innovation to accelerate sustainable development.
The festival, featuring 3,966 innovative projects from Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 students in 424 schools, underscored the nation's dedication to nurturing a culture of sustainability and innovation.
The event also included competitions like 'KIDSPRENEUR' for Kindergarten and Cycle 1 students and 'The Next Founder Competition' for undergraduate and postgraduate students, along with a specialized conference and a Family Festival offering entertainment and educational activities.
