Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled a new Nol Travel Card offering discounts worth up to Dh17,000 on a variety of products and services. Launched on Monday, June 10, the card is available to tourists, residents, and citizens, providing an extensive range of benefits.

Comprehensive Use and Discounts

The Nol Travel Card can be used to pay for public transportation, parking, and a wide array of entertainment and experiences across Dubai. Cardholders will enjoy discounts ranging from five to 10 per cent at hotels, shops, adventure activities, entertainment facilities, and other partner outlets throughout the city.

Availability and Pricing

Initially, the Nol Travel Card will be available for purchase at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and select partner stores, including Zoom and Europcard. Priced at Dh200 for the first year, the card comes preloaded with a balance of Dh19. After the first year, it can be renewed for Dh150.

Future Integrations and Features

Currently, existing Nol card users cannot switch to the new Nol Travel Card, but the RTA has indicated that this option may be available in the future. Mohammed Al Mudharreb, CEO of the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector at RTA, emphasized the card’s aim to integrate public transportation and city facilities into one seamless payment method, offering significant value to users.

“This card is aimed at fulfilling the need of customers, integrating public transportation and the city’s facilities through one card, making it a single payment method with discounts exceeding 100 per cent and valued at over Dh17,000,” Al Mudharreb stated.

Additional Benefits and Future Plans

Salahaldeen Almarzouqi, director of the Automated Collection Systems Department, highlighted that the Nol Travel Card will come with its own packages, each offering various benefits and discounts. While the card is currently physical, plans are in place to introduce a digital version via a barcode. Almarzouqi also mentioned that the RTA is exploring the possibility of transferring balances from existing Nol cards to the new Nol Travel Card in the future.

Amr Abdelsamad, managing director of MDX Solutions, added that over 100 partners and facilities, including restaurants and entertainment venues, currently accept the Nol Travel Card. This number is expected to grow as more businesses join the program.

With its extensive benefits and wide acceptance, the new Nol Travel Card is set to enhance the convenience and value for both residents and visitors in Dubai.
