Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is gearing up for a grand celebration to mark the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro, a symbol of the city’s innovative public transportation network. Under the theme "15 Years on Track," the RTA has planned a series of promotional and entertainment activities to commemorate this milestone, promising exciting surprises and initiatives for both residents and visitors.

A Celebration Backed by Prominent Sponsors

This year’s celebrations are made possible through the support of several key sponsors and partners. Keolis-MHI, the operator of Dubai Metro and Tram, takes the lead as a Strategic Partner. Campaign Partners include LEGO Middle East, LEGOLAND Dubai, IGLOO, Al Jaber Gallery, and Emirates Post, each contributing unique elements to the festivities.

Special Edition Collectibles and Souvenirs

To honor this significant anniversary, Emirates Post will release limited edition postage stamps, a must-have for collectors. The RTA, in collaboration with LEGO Middle East, will also launch a Special Edition nol Card, featuring the anniversary campaign’s logo and an exclusive LEGO-inspired design.

Al Jaber Gallery joins in the celebration by offering a range of Metro-themed souvenir products, allowing everyone to take a piece of this historic occasion home.

Exciting Events and Activities

One of the most unique events planned is the "Metro Babies" celebration at LEGOLAND Dubai on September 21, 2024. This special event is dedicated to children born on September 9, 2009 (9/9/2009), up until the same date in 2023. Parents can register their "Metro Babies" through the RTA’s official website to participate in this joyful event.

IGLOO, another Campaign Partner, is adding a sweet twist to the celebrations by launching limited edition Dubai Metro-shaped ice creams. Lucky buyers who find a special code on their ice cream sticks will win one of 5,000 Nol Terhaal discount cards.

A Week of Music at the Metro Stations

Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the Dubai Metro stations will come alive with music from September 21 to September 27. The 4th Dubai Metro Music Festival, organized by Brand Dubai—the creative arm of the Dubai Government’s Media Office—will feature live performances by both Emirati and international musicians. This annual festival has become a popular event, attracting a diverse audience of both residents and tourists.
