On December 25, 2023, Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest observation wheel, officially reopened after more than two years of restoration work. Located on the picturesque Bluewaters Island, the 250-meter-high attraction quickly became a must-visit destination, drawing hundreds of excited visitors on its first day of operations.

A Busy and Thrilling First Day

Coinciding with Christmas Day, the reopening of Ain Dubai saw large crowds flocking to the attraction. The festive occasion added to the excitement, and many visitors at The Mall at Bluewaters didn’t waste any time booking tickets as soon as they learned the wheel was open again.

A security guard on-site mentioned that the crowds were overwhelming, with some visitors even bringing their families to experience the grand reopening. “It was incredibly busy, with hundreds—possibly thousands—of visitors,” the guard said, capturing the excitement in the air.

Expectations Surpassed: First-Time Visitors Awed by Views

Emirati visitor Ahmed Hani was among the many first-time riders who were left in awe by the experience. He took a ride with his family, catching the sunset from the top of Ain Dubai. “It was breathtaking,” he shared. “Most people I met were also first-time visitors, and many were excited about the options like booking private, decorated pods for special celebrations. It’s bound to be popular with residents.”

The opportunity to celebrate in private, luxury pods is one of the new offerings that many visitors are eager to try, and it’s expected to be a hit for everything from birthdays to romantic events.

A Lucky Discovery: Influencers and Tourists Enjoy the Views

While many were prepared for the reopening, some visitors stumbled upon it by chance. Vina Muliana, an Indonesian influencer visiting her sister in Dubai, was unaware that Ain Dubai had reopened but decided to ride it during a family outing to Bluewaters Island. Having experienced Ferris wheels in cities like Singapore and London, Vina was impressed by Ain Dubai’s record-breaking height and the stunning views it offers. “Dubai’s wheel is the tallest I’ve been on, and the views of Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab were incredible,” she said.

For Janusz and Iwona, a couple from Poland, their visit to Ain Dubai was a last-minute adventure. While staying at a hotel in Dubai Marina, they spotted the wheel in motion and immediately decided to ride it before leaving the city. “We saw it wasn’t moving earlier, but yesterday evening it was operational, so we had to try it,” said Janusz. “It’s our last day in Dubai, and we’re thrilled we got to experience this.”

An Iconic Experience with Unmatched Views

Ain Dubai, which first opened to the public in 2021, offers visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy 360-degree views of Dubai’s skyline, including landmarks like Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, and Bluewaters Island. Each ride lasts about 38 minutes, giving guests plenty of time to soak in the breathtaking sights.

With its towering height and unparalleled views, Ain Dubai is quickly becoming a must-visit attraction for both residents and tourists alike. Whether you're looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply want to experience one of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, Ain Dubai promises an unforgettable adventure.

As it continues to welcome visitors, Ain Dubai is sure to be a favorite destination for years to come, offering an experience that’s as exhilarating as it is breathtaking.
