AD Ports Group's digital subsidiary, Maqta Gateway, has purchased a 60% stake in Dubai Technologies for Dh28 million ($7.62 million), further expanding its global operations.

Capt Mohamed Al Shamsi, AD Ports Group's Managing Director, noted the acquisition's potential to enhance international service offerings.

Dubai Technologies boasts Minato, an intelligent ports operations management platform, and four transportation solutions.

The deal bolsters AD Ports' technological prowess, enhancing customer service across various markets.

AD Ports' expansive portfolio spans 27 terminals and operations across 40+ countries, with over 550 square kilometers within Kezad Group's economic zones.

Continuing its global growth, AD Ports' Spanish division acquired APM Terminals Castellon last month, while forging agreements in Pakistan and the Republic of Congo.

Previous acquisitions include offshore vessels and Grupo Logistico Sese's finished vehicles logistics business.

Maqta Gateway's acquisition of TTEK further broadened its portfolio last year.

Dubai Technologies' founder, Ahmed Alrafi, retains a 40% stake, with the existing leadership team maintaining management roles.
